전시를 준비하는 두 달여 동안, 우리는 아이들에게 태도의 중요성을 이야기하는데 집중했습니다.

‘창의성’만이 자유로운 시각표현을 위한 유일한 덕목이 아님을 이야기했고, ‘고민’, ‘성실’, ‘노력’, ‘끈기’와 같은 위대함을 이끄는 본질적인 태도를 거듭 강조했습니다.
더불어 다양한 현대미술의 사례와 사조를 교육하고, 수동적 감상을 넘어선 이해를 바탕으로 하는 능동적 해석이 가능하도록 멘토링했습니다.

현대미술을 향한 넓고 깊어진 이해력과 표현력을 바탕으로 아이들은 저마다의 이야기를 동시대미술의 흐름 위에서 자유롭게 재구성 할 수 있습니다.
<마이컬러팔레트> 전을 통해 우리는 즐거운 미술활동이 아이들을 더욱 성장시킨다는 믿음을 확인할 수 있었습니다.

During the two months we spent preparing for the exhibition, we focused on talking to children about the importance of attitude.

We talked about how ‘creativity’ is not the only virtue for free visual expression, and repeatedly emphasized the essential attitudes that lead to greatness, such as ‘contemplation’, ‘sincerity’, ‘effort’, and ‘persistence’. In addition, we educated on various cases and trends of modern art, and mentored them to enable active interpretation based on understanding that goes beyond passive appreciation.

Based on their broad and deep understanding and expressive power toward contemporary art, children can freely reconstruct their own stories within the flow of contemporary art. Through the <My Color Palette> exhibition, we were able to confirm our belief that enjoyable art activities help children grow further.
